Research is an integral part of the Catalina Island Conservancy's Mission Statement. The Conservancy welcomes research that will support its ecological restoration, conservation, and land management goals. Studies in disciplines such as geology, soils, archaeology, botany, ornithology, mammalogy, entomology, taxonomy, genetics and ecology are all vital to the success of the Conservancy's mission.
To conduct research on Conservancy land, researchers must apply for a permit and submit a research proposal. For more information on conducting research you may contact the Ecological Restoration Department.
