|As students pursue their education, there is a natural desire to experience the actual career work that they will be later pursuing. Our seasonal employees are offered a structured method by which to gain actual work experience which will often be beneficial later to future employers as certain field skills have already been learned. The Catalina Island Conservancy offers such an opportunity -- experiences that offer a meaningful real-life work environment, and professional development.
Each seasonal employment opportunity will provide valuable “hands-on” learning while at the same time contributing to the management of the Catalina Island environment. Shared housing accommodations are available to seasonal employees for discounted rates.
