 GROW WITH US! An Island Tree Sponsorship helps us fulfill our mission and gives you the opportunity to leave a living memorial for those you have lost, to honor a friend or loved one, or to commemorate a special occasion. There are 4 species of trees to sponsor, each with a $500 tax-deductible gift.
 While the sponsorship is not for a specific individual tree, sponsors pick the desired species of tree growing in a particular grove. As a sponsor, you will receive a Certificate of Appreciation that is suitable for framing. Special wording can be accomodated to celebrate birthdays, weddings, christenings or other honor/memorial occasions. To restore the groves destroyed in May 2007 fire, a bark beetle infestation and 2-year drought, 245 trees (70 Torrey Pines, 90 Catalina Ironwoods, 55 Island Cherries, and 30 Island Oaks) were planted in the Haypress Recreation area, about 3.5 miles west of Avalon. |
