Explore Catalina by Land and Sea The Catalina Island Conservancy teams with Afishinados Charters for an exciting new four-hour eco tour on land and sea Each leg of your adventure takes two hours, beginning and ending in Avalon. By land you're treated to an open-air JeepĀ® Eco Tour. Your driver and naturalist guide will take you into Catalina's wild wildlands where you'll see bald eagles, foxes, ground squirrels, bison, deer, as well as the rare plants that make Catalina a unique eco-system. You'll also have a chance to step back in time and enjoy the historical and archeological sites going back thousands of years. Your coastal tour will be aboard the 49-passenger Catallac, the flagship vessel of Afishinados Charters. The cruise takes you along the Channel-side of the Island with photo stops at Gibraltar, Lava Wall, Empire, Blue Caverns, Bird and Ship Rock. You'll see the amazing marine life of sea lions, seals, dolphins, Bald Eagles, herons, Leopard Sharks, and on evening trips, the amazing flying fish. The eco tours switch at the isthmus where you will disembark for a 45-minute visit to the quaint little settlement of Two Harbors. Tours are available in the morning and afternoon with each leg of the tour accommodating six guests.
