VEHICULAR POLICIES
 
Road permits are required for vehicle use of all Conservancy roads. All vehicles that are driven on Conservancy property must have a valid Conservancy vehicle permit, even those vehicles that do not go into Avalon. Permits are offered on an annual or daily basis. Non-commercial annual road permits are offered July 1 to June 30th of each year and are NO LONGER prorated quarterly.

NEW POLICY:
There are no refunds for part of year usage or cancellation of permits.

To obtain a permit, mail or bring the following items with you to Wrigley Garden’s Booth at 1400 Avalon Canyon road durint these times: MOn-Fri. 9am-12pm and 2pm - 4pm only. Closed from 12-2pm.

Use this check list to ensure you have included everything before you arrive.

The completed (front and back) enclosed green road application form including any changes to permit, (name, address, phone #, vehicle description, etc).

Copy of a valid vehicle registration for the vehicle to be permitted

(in Permittee’s name)

Copy of a valid drivers license for the Vehicle Permit Holder.

Proof of current Conservancy membership or completed membership renewal form enclosed.

If not a current member, completed Paradise Pass application form for registered vehicle owner.

Proof of insurance that indicates your coverage, current expiration date and identification of each covered family member. A certificate of insurance must be on file with Permitter evidencing coverage for vehicle and operators of at least $250,000/$500,000 bodily injury (each person/accident) and $100,000 property damage. The certificate must be in effect and not modifiable or cancelable without ten (10) days notice to Permitter.

Completed Driver Commitment to Ensure Road Safety (see membership page for membership fees)

City or Interior sticker number issued from Avalon City Hall

Payment for permit

Membership fees if not renewed.

Vehicle that is to be permitted

Upon verification of the above items, your road permit will be issued and a Non-Commercial Road Permit Sticker that will be placed on the windshield.

Vehicles found with unauthorized drivers are subject to loss of permit privileges. A copy of the current road permit with authorized drivers’ signatures on the back must be kept in the vehicle at all times.

In the event that you cancel your road permit, or change vehicles, you must let the Conservancy know so that we may make the appropriate changes to our files.

*Minimum insurance requirements are as follows:

Bodily Injury $250,000 per person/$500,000 per occurrence

Property Damage $100,000

Or a combined single limit of $500,000

It is the Permittee’s responsibility to supply the Conservancy with a current certificate of insurance. If your insurance expires and we no longer have a copy of the certificate of insurance, your Paradise Pass will be locked out of the system. Authorized drivers must be at least 18 years of age.

Friends using an authorized vehicle are required to have their own membership and Paradise Pass and submit a copy of their valid driver’s license, and sign a Driver Commitment to Ensure Road Safety form.

Drivers 16-18

The Conservancy has a program that will give drivers between 16 and 18 years of age, who meet special requirements, permission to drive on the Conservancy’s roads.
