The eighth annual Catalina Island Conservancy Ball , sponsored
this year by the Newport Harbor Yacht Club, was held in the Avalon Casino Ballroom
on Saturday, April 5, 2003. The formal event was a sell out and included a reception,
dinner, a silent and live auction, dancing, and more.
Over 600 attendees had a fabulous evening and raised almost $300,000 for the
Conservancy.
The Catalina Island Conservancy Ball First Annual Benefit Golf Tournament,
hosted by the Catalina Marineros, and held the day of the Ball turned out to
be a great success also.
