LAST FRIDAY LECTURE SERIES

Join guest experts every last Friday of the month at the Trailhead visitor center to learn more about the wonder of Catalina's unique natural history.

On June 28, 2019, join us at the NEW Trailhead visitor center to hear Dr. Peter Sharpe of the Institute for Wildlife Studies present:
American Peregrine Falcon Recovery on the California Channel Islands

Dr. Sharpe received a Bachelor’s degree in Ecology/Ethology from the University of Illinois, a Master’s degree in Zoology from Southern Illinois University, and a Ph.D. in Zoology from Colorado State University. He works for the non-profit Institute for Wildlife Studies, where he has been directing bald eagle restoration efforts on the California Channel Islands since 1997 and peregrine falcon monitoring on the islands since 2013.
